This study aimed to investigate the effects of different leadership styles on the level of job satisfaction experienced by hospitality workers in the United States. According to the study, transformational leadership had a considerable positive effect on work satisfaction, whereas laissez-faire leadership had a large negative effect. For transactional leadership, however, there was no discernible effect. The study also found that employees' demographic variables, such as gender, age, education level, and job position influenced the association between leadership style and job satisfaction. According to the findings, implementing transformational leadership approaches can boost job satisfaction, improving employee retention and performance in the hospitality business.
The study's findings on the effects of styles of leadership on job satisfaction among hospitality workers have substantial implications for other workplaces outside the hospitality industry (Huertas-Valdivia et al., 2019). The findings of this study, namely that transformational leadership can increase job satisfaction, would also apply to other fields. Transformational leadership methods can be adopted in various organizations to motivate and empower employees, create a pleasant work environment, and improve employee engagement, retention, and performance. The study concluded that the demographic features of the employees might modify the association between leadership style and job satisfaction.
I've worked in various organisations with different leadership styles, and I've witnessed firsthand how the leadership style adopted by managers can influence both the level of job satisfaction experienced by employees and the overall performance of an organisation . Because it creates a pleasant working atmosphere that encourages and empowers employees, transformational leadership is the most effective form of leadership. To ensure that workers are happy in their jobs, it is essential to remember that leadership styles must be adapted to the specific requirements of the workforce. The study's implications for managers in the hospitality industry can be transferred to other industries, including mine. They can assist leaders in creating a staff that is more engaged and motivated.
